Friday Bakes – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Friday Bakes! Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking. By submitting a booking request and making payment, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Booking Confirmation

The booking form on my website is a request for a party date only and does not guarantee your chosen date.
After you submit the form, I will liaise with you directly to confirm availability and finalise your booking.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure the date. I do not take deposits.
This system allows me to plan my calendar efficiently and deliver parties effectively without chasing partial payments.

2. Payment Terms

Once I have liaised with you and confirmed the details of your party, I will provide payment instructions.
Full payment is then required to secure your party date.
Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received and acknowledged by me.
Please note that I cannot hold dates without full payment.

3. Cancellations and Date Changes

If you need to cancel or request a change to your booking, please contact me as soon as possible.
Cancellations made 4 weeks or more before the party date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the party date are non-refundable, as supplies and preparation are already planned in advance.
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule to another available date.
Depending on the circumstances, I may also offer a small gesture of goodwill or discount towards a future booking as compensation.

4. Emergency Circumstances

If unforeseen circumstances such as illness or emergencies prevent me from attending your booking, I will contact you immediately.
You will be offered the choice to reschedule or receive a full refund.
I will always do my best to minimise disruption and ensure the situation is handled fairly and professionally.

5. Minimum and Maximum Attendance

Parties are designed for a minimum of 12 children.
The maximum number of children per party is 16, depending on space, equipment, and supervision requirements.
The number of children attending must be agreed after liaising with me to ensure everything is planned correctly.
If the number of children changes, please give at least two weeks’ notice. A refund will be given for any cancelled places, provided the final number still meets the minimum of 12 children.
If fewer than 12 children attend, the minimum charge still applies.
Additional children above the agreed number can only be accommodated with prior approval and may incur extra costs.

6. Health, Safety and Allergies

I hold the necessary Food Hygiene and Safety training, and all baking activities are carried out following strict hygiene and safety standards.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that all allergy and dietary information is clearly provided when completing the booking form.
I will make every effort to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements where possible, but cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
All ingredients are supermarket-bought or sourced from known, trusted suppliers, and full ingredient lists can be provided on request.
Children must be supervised by at least two adults, in addition to myself, throughout the party to ensure safety.
I offer a complimentary clean-down service after the party, unless it is not required or requested by the host.
Any accidents or injuries occurring due to a lack of supervision or misuse of equipment are the responsibility of the attending adults, not Friday Bakes.

7. Liability

While I take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Friday Bakes cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or damage that occur due to negligence, misuse of equipment, or failure to follow safety instructions.
The party host (parent or guardian) is responsible for providing a safe and suitable kitchen or indoor space for the event, including working appliances, adequate ventilation, and clear surfaces.
I offer a complimentary clean-down service after the party, unless it is not required or requested by the host.
I accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property belonging to guests or attendees.
In the unlikely event of an accident directly caused by my equipment or actions, I hold public liability insurance to cover such situations.
Participation in the baking activities is at the attendees’ own risk, and by booking a party, you accept these terms.

8. Photography and Social Media

I love to share the fun and creativity from Friday Bakes parties on my social media pages and website.
Permission will always be requested before taking or sharing any photos or videos that include children or identifiable guests.
Parents and guardians have the right to decline photography or social media sharing at any time, and this will be respected fully.
Any photos shared by you (the host or parents) that tag or mention Friday Bakes may be reshared on my official accounts, unless you request otherwise.
All content is shared respectfully and in line with UK data protection and safeguarding guidelines.

9. Governing Law and Agreement

These terms and conditions are governed by UK law, and any disputes shall be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By submitting a booking request and making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

10. Changes to Terms

I reserve the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time to reflect changes in services, policies, or legal requirements.
The latest version will always be available on the Friday Bakes website, and any significant changes will be communicated to clients with existing bookings.
