½ tbsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 large egg, separated (room temperature)
225ml whole milk
60ml vegetable oil
1 ½ tbsp sugar
Method
In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
Then in a medium bowl or jug, whisk together the egg yolks, milk, and oil. Pour this mixture over the dr
ingredients and whisk until well combined.
Using a hand mixer or whisk, whisk the egg white on until soft peaks form.
then gradually add the sugar, one tea spoon at a time, while continuing to whisk until stiff peaks form.
Fold the beaten egg whites into the batter one half at a time, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
Place a serving spoon amount of batter into a preheated and greased waffle iron. Cook for about 3 minutes on high heat, or until golden brown and crispy.
Enjoy!
