Ingredients

  • 330 g strong white flour

  • 1 tsp fast-action dried yeast

  • 7g sea salt

  • 200 ml lukewarm water

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

*makes 3 180g Pizza dough balls

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, place the flour. Place the yeast on one side and the salt on the other side of the bowl.

  2. Pour in the warm water and oil, then start mixing. If using a stand mixer, use the dough hook attachment and mix until the dough comes together. If mixing by hand, stir until a rough dough forms.

  3. Transfer the dough onto a clean work surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, continue mixing with the stand mixer on medium speed.

  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place In a lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling film and let the dough rest at room temperature for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.

  5. During the rise, perform a stretch and fold every 30 minutes to develop the dough’s structure, enhancing the texture and flavour of the bread. (This step is optional)

  6. Once the dough has risen, it’s ready to be made into your favourite pizzas. Roll it out, add your toppings, and bake to perfection!
